Ok. I bought this game with fairly high hopes, i knew any fighting game is bound to be full of button bashing but this game is insane.....
in a bad way.
You can be dominating an opponent with high kicks, straight punching, attempting armbars which is all good, until they K.O you with a 1 hit wonder or submit you with some magical reversal.
There is no life bar so you really cannot explain why one punch K.O's you when your strong punches and kicks seem to inflict no damage unless you land them several times in a row.
This is best avoided just like UFC Throwdown on the Gamecube. They tried, they failed, just forget about the UFC series.
in regards to your questions, to do a submission you wear down the opponenets stamania with body and leg kicks and then do a takedown and click r3. when the submission is being peformed rotate the r3 stick realy really fast in one constant circle
A great game this. For those who are fans of watching the UFC & the Ultimate fighter series then this is THE game for you. There's a lot to learn with regards to striking & takedowns to getting a great submission on your opponent. You can be any of the current crop such as our very own Micheal Bisping aswell as other top stars such as: Anderson Silva, Forrest Griffin, Rampage Jackson & Chuck Liddell. You can also be any of the former legends who have retired such as Ken Shamrock or Randy Coutoure. It's similar to Fight Night Round 3 with regards to just before you knock out your opponent & everything goes in slow motion. All in all a cracker. 5 stars!!!
I can't praise this game enough! It can be v.addictive and I can see it being a hit online. I knew v.little (and still do) about UFC, but it doesn't really matter, as long as you know how to fight and it doesn't matter how dirty you are! The career mode is also realistic although doesn't allow you to carry out the training like in Fight Night 3. Graphically it's brilliant, Not yet noticed any glitches such as; a foot going though someone head. Great fighting game
this game is great for a day or two and the thrill of seeing the gumshield fly out is great but it is really not worth buying
